How To Make Scented Candles In A Pumpkin

With Autumn just around the corner, I keep stumbling upon Fall and Halloween crafts that I’m excited to get started on. These homemade candles in a pumpkin have really got me intrigued! I found this project here, however, the instructions are not in english. Fortunately, this project does seem largely self explanatory.

Simply use a tin can and a pot to melt candle wax along with the scented oils of your choice (like cinnamon, apple cider or spiced pumpkin) until completely hot and pourable. You can either take a wick from an existing candle, or even buy them at your local craft stores (or Amazon). They’re only about $6 for a pack of 100! An easy way to get your wick to stand up by itself is by wrapping it around a skewer, pencil or stick of some sort and then resting it on the rim of the pumpkin while you pour the melted wax in. I would also suggest preserving your carved pumpkin with a bleach solution before pouring the wax in to keep it from rotting.  Other than that, the rest is pretty straightforward! Happy Fall!
